2 New Arrivals! Wolves today signed 2 new players who I feel are very much signings for the future.
To be quite honest I actually know very little about both of them but a quick scan of the internet has given me the following facts.
Frank Nouble is a 20 year old 6’ 3, striker born in Lewisham, to Ivorian parents, who started his career as a footballer with the big boys, at Chelsea, making his reserve team debut in November 2007. 2 years later in 2009 Nouble rejected the offer of a professional contract at Chelsea for a 5 year contract at West Ham. Ironically Nouble made his Premier league debut against his new employers, Wolves in a 2 - 0 away win at Molineux. Following this he was involved in numerous loan placements at West Brom, Swindon Town, Swansea City, Barnsley, Charlton Athletic, Gillingham and finally Barnsley again.
On 23 May 2012 it was revealed that West Ham would not be renewing Nouble's contract with the club, and he was set to be released on a free transfer. On 22/6/2012 Frank Nouble signed on the dotted line for Wolverhampton Wanderers on a 2 year contract. He played 62 games for the combined clubs, scoring 8 goals. He has played once for England U17 and 9 times for U19, scoring once. Frank maintains that he is looking forward to his time at Molineux hoping to score goals and get us back to where we belong.
Jamie Tank is a Northampton born, 18 year old defender who was captain of Walsall Youth Team and as far as I am aware had not as yet secured a professional contract. According to reports he had performed well at both Youth and reserve team levels and I can find no evidence that he had actually made a first team appearance. It has been reported that he is a level headed teenager, a no-nonsense defender with a bright future. He was signed for a nominal 5 figure fee and, as Nouble, has been given a 2 year contract. Like us Jamie did not see this signing coming and he is now looking forward to meeting the players for pre season training.
Looking at their profiles, it would suggest that they are very much players with potential and for the future. Whereas there were rumours yesterday re Frank Nouble, actually mentioned on the Rumour Mill below, it would seem that the Tank signing was just not foreseen. We would like to take this opportunity to welcome both players to our team and wish them both the best for their playing future.
